Past Life Discovery and Self-Acceptance
The field of Past Life Regression has been controversial in Western cultures and religions for centuries. It has become more mainstream in the past few years thanks to both the research of Ian Stevenson, in his life's work with children, and Brian Weiss's critical books on past life regression therapy.
Many people have had "unanticipated and unexplainable experiences" that have caused them to question their traditional realities and values. I had such an experience as a teenager, and I denied the experience for many years until I met Dr. Brian Weiss at a training seminar for therapists at the Omni Center in Rhinebeck, New York. At that weeklong seminar and training class, I could no longer deny the experiences and stories of hundreds of participant therapists from all over the world.
Past Life Regression explores the experiences of your soul in other lives. It is not easy to reach into your subconscious memories, and it may take months of practice and patient meditation, or even sessions with a past life regression therapist.
"Why" is the question, and the answer simply is that we have all been conditioned in Western society to deny and ridicule any ideas relative to reincarnation of the soul. Part of the problem is that people are embarrassed to admit and discuss their personal experiences with past life memories due to social retribution, which is very evident in our society. Children having these experiences are either told to forget these memories or not to talk about them, just as I was told many years ago.
In my book 'Past Lives Denied', the characters are faced with the challenges and realities of having past lives, which can be retrieved with great struggle and effort, but also with profound realization and self-discovery.
In the next installment of my series, 'God Denied', Ashford has railed against God his whole life. He is faced with a transformational crisis of discovery: the discovery that he does in fact have a soul! 'God Denied' is a monumental journey that we all face in our progression to understand why we are here and what our purpose in this life is.
Only our past lives can help with that self-discovery!
